Salner, Moshe

Moshe, son of Rivka and Hermann, was born on July 18, 1946, in Bucharest, Romania. When he was four years old, he immigrated with his family to Israel. Moshe was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-May 1964. After serving as a storekeeper for a while, he served as a truck driver in the Northern Command, serving as an example of his friends in his good temper, his passivity and unlimited dedication. In 1971, he married Rachel, whom he met at a wedding party of his good friend from childhood, and the couple lived for two years. Moshe took care of all his wife’s needs and felt good at home, and also did to expand the service Via the rest of his tinkering hobby. At the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War called Moses to his unit and sent her to the Golan Heights. On the second day of the war, the eleventh day of Tishri Tsl”d (07/10/1973), his half-track was hit heavy artillery shelling and killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Nahariya. Survived by a wife, parents and brother.
