Salmon, Efrat
Daughter of Pesia and Joshua. She was born on 25.1.1972 in Be’er Sheva and studied at Rambam Elementary School in Be’er Sheva. She completed her studies at the religious high school B in the real-physical field. Prior to her enlistment in the IDF, Efrat attended a training course for the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI). After basic training, she was sent to a field study center in Kiryat Malachi as instructor. According to her commander, she was an excellent soldier in terms of functioning and discipline, social and pleasant. In an interview with her, she wrote: “She invests, initiates and persists, and has been well integrated with second-year girls, her roommates.” As she approached the end of her regular service she enrolled at Bar-Ilan University and was accepted to study law. Efrat, who served in our unit for about a year and a half, said in a condolence letter to the family: “Efrat has served in our unit for a year and a half. She did her job with great devotion, with a lot of will, initiative and responsibility. Efrat loved nature very much, children and people in general. She was sociable and loved to help others. Efrat was creative and very talented, and she always did her job with love, will, and volunteer spirit. Efrat loved the military framework, in which she was proud to represent the IDF with dignity until her last day. “
