He was born on October 27, 1906, in Berlin, the capital of Germany, and worked in the publishing house “Ulstein” and in the local newspaper “Fosseit Zeitung” in 1933. He was deported to Italy in 1933, He returned to Germany for fear of being arrested on his return because of his articles against the Nazi regime, living in Florence, where he became the first Jewish immigrant from Germany, and immigrated to Palestine in 1936. At the beginning of his career he was a night concierge at a hotel in Haifa, And later became the owner of the largest and best bookstore in the country with a variety of books, especially books And as a member of the Hagana, he was appointed Deputy Commander of the Civil Defense in Jerusalem, and was responsible for all the shelters in the city during the days of the battle and the siege on Jerusalem. On May 1, 1948, David died and was buried in the Sheik Left behind a mother and sister in Montevideo, who was later transferred to the military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem
