Yehuda was quiet, shy, modest, and he was very respectful to everyone. Yehuda enlisted in the IDF and became a combat soldier in the Golani Brigade. He did not tell his mother that he was serving in Lebanon so she would not worry. On the 3rd of Sivan, May 27, 1998, St.-Sgt. Yehuda Salam fell in combat in Lebanon at the age of twenty-one. He was laid to rest in the military section of Beit Shemesh cemetery. Survived by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
