Safani, Latif

Son of Ezra and Rosa. He was born in 1934 in Bombay, India, where he studied in an elementary school in 1941. In 1941, the family came to Iraq, where the situation was severe and could not be put into a school where he was forced to work in a factory where he was responsible for all the work. He was drafted into the IDF in March 1954 and on the 27th of March 1957, he fell in Sinai during the battle of Rafah. He was buried at the Military Emergency Cemetery in Bari and on 28 October 5757 he was transferred to the eternal military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. left a wife and five children; His daughter was born 40 days after he died.
