Sadeh Lavan, Doron
Doron, son of Yehudit and Yehuda Sadeh Lavan, was born in Tel Aviv in 1953. From the age of three and a half, he grew up and was educated in a single-parent family by his father and with the devoted help of his father’s parents. After basic training, he underwent a field training course and completed training as an outstanding trainee. He continued on to the officers’ training course, after which he was appointed commander of the tank division of the 188th Brigade – the Barak Brigade, and participated in the Yom Kippur War in bloody battles in the north. After his military service, he went to study veterinary medicine in Milan, Italy, and during his studies he married Ela and upon completing his studies and receiving his degree, returned to Israel and built their home. He served as a veterinarian in the medical corps. On 13 Sivan, June 20, 1986, he died at the age of thirty-three and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind his parents and wife.
