Sabir, Nadav
Son of Daniel and Marion. He was born on 16 July 1954 in Moshav Bustan Hagalil in the Ga’aton region. He studied at the Regba Regional School and then completed his studies in the urban high school in Nahariya in the real world. At a young age, Nadav discovered technical skills and eventually joined Gadna-Air, where he managed to build a yacht for his father and himself and surprised him with his technical innovations: The yacht was part of his second connection: sport, sailing on the waves was one of his pleasures On the land, he liked horses more than any horse riding, but even the light athletics, especially long and marching, were in his regular sporting pursuits, and he had another hobby: photography, which gave Nadav a handful of virtues. There was a noble and gentle soul, pleasant and straight-headed, his manner with people Was quiet and dignified, and he radiated calm and love for his children, especially children, and when he arrived in November 1972, when he was drafted into the IDF, Nadav wanted to be accepted to a pilot course. This was not easily given to him. first. Until a course was available, he had to undergo basic training in the Golani Brigade. This training did pass without any difficulty. He decided to take a diet to reduce his weight and thus make it easier for him to be accepted into a pilot’s course. But a few months later he dropped out of the course. Nevertheless, he remained, to his delight, in the air force. At very high grades, he underwent courses as a loading supervisor and served in this position until the end of regular service, and even more so when he signed a permanent service when he saw his mission in a military career. In the meantime, he was promoted to sergeant. On the 27th of Sivan 5736 (26.6.1976) Nadav fell while serving. Was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the cemetery in Nahariya. Survived by his parents and two sisters. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and Nadav’s commander wrote to the bereaved parents: “Nadav stood out as an elementary student with a desire to succeed. Nadav served as a personal example for everyone in his approach to work and his desire to help others. “
