Sabag, Joseph
Joseph Ben Ruchama and Isaac was born on the 27th of Teves, December 31, 1945 in Harpod, Morocco, the eldest son of his parents. He completed his elementary and high school studies at the Kol Israel Haverim school and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1962. He continued his studies in Israel, until his father’s death when he had help support the family. He was drafted into the IDF in October 1965 and assigned to serve in the infantry, but was released from compulsory service three months later, in order to help support the family. After his release he married Sara and established a family in Yavneh. He was survived by his wife and four children – Michael, Osnat, Eyal and Netanel, his three sisters – Alice, Sarah and Hannah and five brothers – Abraham, David, Samuel, Shimon and Meir.
