Sabach, Eliezer (Ezer)
Son of Roset and Edmund, was born in 1954 in Morocco. In 1956, when he was a baby, he immigrated to Israel with his parents. The family settled in Daughter of-Yam, where he graduated from elementary school. He continued to study in a high school in a realistic track and took his matriculation exams in a humanistic direction. In August 1973, he joined the IDF and served in the Armored Corps, where he underwent training in the Yom Kippur War and after the war he underwent a series of courses and in May 1974 was promoted to Corporal. A few months later he was promoted to sergeant and became a tank commander. After his discharge from the IDF, he went to work in his family’s business, returned to graduate school, graduated from the economics department, married and gave birth to his only son, and when the Peace for Galilee War broke out he did not receive the summons, but Eliezer refused to stay home while his unit was fighting in the front. On the 10th of Kislev 5762 (10.6.1982), near the town of Libia, planes attacked the column of tanks with which he was moving, Eliezer’s tank was hit and he was killed, He was buried at the military cemetery in Holon and left behind a wife, a son, parents, two sisters and a brother.
