Saad, Yasur


Ben Michal and Ezra. He was born on November 26, 1975, in Nahariya. The eldest son of a family of four. Yasur grew up, studied and was educated in Nahariya, the Remez Elementary School and the Amal High School. In his youth, he devoted a great deal of time to sport and practiced in swimming circles, within the framework of Maccabi Nahariya. His great love was diving in the sea and underwater fishing, motorbike riding, and raising animals: parrots, fish and snakes. At the end of November 1993, Yassour was drafted into compulsory military service, and was posted to the infantry unit of the Border Police unit on September 13, 1994. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya. Survived by his parents and two sisters – Dia and Chen. After his fall, his sister Shahaf was born. He was nineteen when he fell. The family members commemorated Yasur’s name in a prayer shawl and prayer book, which they donated to the synagogue of the Border Police unit in the settlement of Gan Ner. Michal, his mother, wrote: “… and closed the circle before the time / the beginning / I carried you on my shoulders / with maternal pride first / and there is no buffer / and there is touch and love, tenderness and warmth / … “
