Rubin, Yosef (Yoske)
Son of Chana and Chaim Was born on May 28, 1925, in Metula, where his mother died at the age of 8. two years later he began to work as a farmer in Metula. He was a member of the Young Maccabee and the Haganah for many years, during the British siege of Kibbutz Givat Haim, where he was among the people who helped him during the War of Independence and participated in the defense of Kfar Yavetz, After the establishment of the IDF, he was drafted into the IAF and was a member of the airport staff in Tel Aviv. On June 6, 1948, when a bomb was loaded on a plane, one bomb was dropped due to a malfunction and explosion. Yoske was critically wounded and transferred to Hadassah Hospital in Tel Aviv where he died of his wounds on June 16, 1948. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
