Rozanski, Yitzhak

Son of Esther and Zvi. He was born in Petach Tikva on December 4, 1927. He studied at the elementary school in the settlement and later at the “Ahad Ha’am” high school, and was a member of the Gordonia-Maccabi Hatzair youth movement in Petach Tikvah. Yitzhak told stories or jokes to his friends a few years younger than him. In 1945, while serving as a member of the Gordonia leadership and commander of the Hagana, and two months before his departure for training with his friends, he volunteered for the Jewish Fighting Brigade, joined the infantry and was sent to the front. On 29 Av, August 21, 1945, Yitzhak Razenski fell in an accident in Austria. The next day he was buried in the British military cemetery in Klagenfurt, Austria. His fellow members of the training nuclei were stunned by the fact that he had fallen. The “Gordonia-Maccabi Hatzair” branch in Petach Tikva published a booklet in his memory.
