Son of Yishayahu and Brachah. He was born on May 6, 1948 in Hadera. He studied at the “Fences” elementary school and continued his studies at the ORT vocational high school in Jaffa with an electric track. Menachem was drafted into the IDF in May 1966. After basic training, he was trained in the Technical Corps of the Signal Corps and sent to a liaison battalion. In Menachem’s letter of release from the regular service, his commander wrote: “Menahem was a responsible and faithful soldier, dedicated, upright and stable, with a vision and initiative, easy access to people and a desire to help. During his regular service, Menachem took part in the Six-Day War and was awarded the War of Independence. After his regular service, Menachem was accepted to work as a PEC examiner. And later married Carmela and had two sons. Every year he was called for periods of reserve duty and performed the tasks he was assigned with love and will. Participated in the Yom Kippur War. On the 7th of Adar 5737 (February 25, 1977) Menahem fell in the line of duty during an active reserve duty, was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kfar Mordekhai (fences) and left behind a wife, two sons and two parents.
