Rosinoy, Moshe-Avraham

Moshe-Avraham, son of Chaya-Miriam and Eliahu Rosinoy, was born on January 1, 1926 in Tel Aviv. His father was a descendant of a family of rabbis-geniuses. The parents lived in Givat Shmuel near Bnei Brak since the founding of this neighborhood. Over the years, three of their five sons perished, leaving only two: Moshe-Avraham and his brother Joshua. Moshe-Avraham studied at the Bialik School in Tel Aviv and later continued at the Gordon Gymnasium. From his youth, he was a member of the Hagana and filled it with responsible and dangerous positions. He underwent a sabotage course, specialized in this field and excelled as an expert on sabotage and mining. Moshe-Avraham participated in leaving mines and dismantling them, blowing up bridges and roads and dismantling bombs. Despite a fever he went into action, planting mines, because there was no one to take his place. The last mines he planted in the vicinity of his regime exploded during his work and his body was shattered on the 13th of Tishrei, 5709 (October 16, 1948). He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Petah Tikva.
