Rosilio, Meir


Son of-Rivka and Avraham, was born in Rishon Letzion on May 30, 1936. During the War of Independence, his family moved to the Hatikva neighborhood in Tel Aviv, a difficult day of Arab provocations and assaults on Meir was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of 1955 and was assigned to the Artillery Corps. During his service he successfully passed a carpentry course and found his place in the army by profession. Later Meir went through a general framework course and a truck driver course. In 1974, he responded to the pleas of his commanders and volunteered to serve in the regular army. He moved to the IAF and worked in his profession. Meir was a disciplined soldier with an excellent profession and a high level of work, and was careful to keep the military equipment and property. He was raised to the rank of sergeant, and he married a wife and had two children, and his wife became ill with cancer and died, and he treated the children with great devotion, and after a few years he married Mazal, (26.2.1980) and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He was 44 when he fell. He left behind a wife, son and daughter, parents, brothers and sisters.
