Rosenstein, Arno


During World War II, he enlisted in Palestine and was assigned to the British Expeditionary Corps. He served in the Western Desert and there, on the 25th of Av (August 29, 1940), fell while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest at the British military cemetery in El Alamein, Egypt. His name was immortalized in “The Book of Volunteerism,” in the book “Yizkor” by the Jabotinsky Institute, and in the “Book of the Year of the Journalists”, 1946.
