Rosenkrantz, Efrati Ruth


Daughter of Aliza Gertrude and Gerhard. She was born on the 2nd of Teves, December 7, 1926 in Berlin, the capital of Germany. She immigrated to Israel in 1933, and graduated from a high school in Haifa. She joined the Hashomer Hatzair movement, and was active in it. She always praised the importance of working the land, and joined Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek. She was loved by all her friends, On the 24th of Adar 2, April 4, 1948, the first day of the Arab attack on the kibbutz, a shell fell on the children’s home, where Ruth was on guard duty. She was killed, along with her daughter of 8 months. She was laid to eternal rest, with her daughter, in the cemetery in Kibbutz Mishmar Haemek.
