Rosenfeld, Yitzhak-Moshe
Son of-Mordechai-Aharon and Pesia. Born on 16 March 1956. He grew up in the Paggy neighborhood near the northern border of Hebrew Jerusalem, and when he was four years old he entered the traditional room and at the age of six began studying at the Shilo School, Sacred and profane, and even then Yitzhak’s bright thinking and quick perception were revealed: he grew up in his studies, even though he grew up in a narrow house where four sisters and two brothers were joined by him, but with his fertile imagination he could create suitable substitutes for them He was the well-known “leader” of the children of the neighborhood, with whom he conducted “military operations” in the shadow of the barbed wire fence, on which the Arab Legion soldiers arrived. In the 8th grade, Yitzhak established, among his classmates, the “Jericho Battalion” – which is supposed to be composed of armored soldiers The 9th and 10th grades, at the yeshiva high school, Yitzhak did a vocational training program in electronics, and his achievements in studies were excellent both in academic and professional fields, but his Lev was increasingly attracted to the world of Torah. He moved to the Horev yeshiva in Jerusalem. Here he joined the Ezra youth movement and became involved in extensive social and educational activity, the main purpose of which is to help others. During the summer months, Yitzhak volunteered for field work at Kibbutz Chafetz Chaim. And the kibbutz way of life captivated him. Yes ‘deaf’ the country length and breadth. Deeply infused with a deep love for the land and its landscape. And an aspiration to establish the people in all parts of the Land of Israel in the path of traditional Judaism. Yitzhak completed his matriculation exams with honors, and out of a desire to continue filling his spiritual fortunes wandered south to the Negev Yeshiva in Netivot. A whole year did not leave the tent of Torah. He spent another six months in the Mossad Harav Kook. Along this path were accompanied by three commandments: love and help for others; Absolute abstinence from gossip and gossip; Make do with little. At the end of July 1976, when he was drafted into the IDF, he joined the IDF in the northern town of Ma’alot, where he undertook five years of compulsory service. He returned to Ma’alot and worked, as well as education, on the residents of the area. “His behavior was impeccable, a quiet and disciplined soldier,” his commander says, referring to this period. His friends also finished praising the warm attitude that Yitzhak had shown them. However, he did not achieve his wishes, because he fell in the course of his duties during the course – and he was 22 years old, it was on the 27th of Adar 5738 (5/1978). Was brought to eternal rest on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, four sisters and two brothers. Yitzhak’s parents founded the Gemilut Chasadim Fund in the Ma’alot Yeshiva and in Shilo and Kochav HaShachar – to commemorate his memory.
