Ben Elka and Eliyahu. He was born on 28.5.1956 in Bnei Brak. He studied at the Giva’a Elementary School and continued his studies at the vocational school in Bnei Brak. He was a good boy, quiet and disciplined, who knew how to occupy himself. Because of his weak vision he did not engage in sports. However, he was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. He excelled in chess and loved to read books of all kinds, especially history books. He loved listening to classical music and singing. Was very popular with people and there was no limit to his kindness and his help to others. David was conscripted into regular service in the IDF in August 1974 and was assigned to the Military Police, where he took a course for criminal investigators, and was even assigned to an officer’s course, but eventually discharged from the IDF with the rank of sergeant. After graduating from the IDF, he studied external studies in order to be admitted to the university, where he studied computer engineering for a bachelor’s degree in computer science, and began studying for a master’s degree, where he studied and taught in various software courses. David was drafted into reserve duty in May 1992 and fell during his military service on 24 May 1992 and was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery, leaving behind his parents, brother Shlomo and sister Shifra.
