Rosenblum, Alter


Son of Shlomo and Hashia. He was born on March 17, 1947, in the city of Vaudler, Germany, where he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. He completed his elementary studies at a school in Lod and then continued his studies at the Max Payne Vocational School He joined the “Hanoar Haoved” movement and was a member of the “HaPoel” sports association, and in June 1965 he was drafted into the IDF and served in compulsory service. The Six-Day War broke out in which he participated as a deputy company commander. He cleared bunkers and fought fiercely. At the end of the purge he charged at Yavneh who was in the area, was injured in the left hand, and after he was bandaged he continued to fight. This was in a battle that took place at Tel Faher in the Golan Heights on the fifth day of the battles, on the 11th of Sivan 5767 (June 9, 1967). Put a wife in her pregnancy; His daughter was born about two months after the fall of her father. He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and transferred to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. After they fell they were promoted. His memory was included in a booklet issued by the Municipality of Lod commemorating the fallen.
