Ben Rachel and Tzvi. Born in Tel Aviv on May 14, 1959. Eitan grew up and was educated in the Ramat Hasharon settlement, and he has acquired many friends who have been a very important part of his life. In 1977), he enlisted in the IDF, the armored corps, and soon discovered his love for the tank and power. After passing the tanker’s course, Eitan was sent to the Armored Corps course. In February 1979 he completed the course, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel and took command of a tank division in the Jordan Valley. “As a platoon commander, he gave a personal example to his soldiers. In his work he was discovered as a professional tank pilot, an excellent navigator and a commander with a high level of professionalism, “Eitan’s battalion commander wrote to his parents after his fall. On the 11th of Tishrei 5710 (October 2, 1979), Eitan’s life was cut short on his way to the base of his unit. He was only 20 years old. After his death, he was promoted to lieutenant. Eitan was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
