Rosenblatt, Dov

Son of Michael and Esther. Born on the 6th of Iyar, May 5, 1949 in Hadera. After completing his high school in Magdiel, he was drafted into the IDF in June 1967. He proved himself to be a good and obedient soldier, and was accepted and loved by all his friends. Dov served in the unit as a communications technician. On the 4th of Tishrei, September 26, 1968, the vehicle he was traveling on, hit a mine planted by the Egyptian enemy, in the Shivta region, and he was killed. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. The commander of his unit wrote in his letter of condolences to his parents, “he showed a high level of professionalism, dedication and devotion… thanks to his qualities and good character, he was able to acquire the esteem of his commanders and friends. ” His name was mentioned in the booklet “On Their Frontier” published by the Hanoar Hazioni kibbutz.
