Rosenberg, Ariel (Armin)


Ariel (Armin), son of Rivka and Baruch Rosenberg, was born in 1924 in Bucharest, Romania. He immigrated to Israel in 1941 as part of the Youth Aliyah. He was educated and worked as a farmer in the village of Kfar Yehoshua and later left with his group and settled in Beit Eshel. The British demanded that he remain in their service until mid-May 1948 and he served as liaison between them and the Jewish workers. When he stopped working for the British he enlisted with his comrades in the Givati ​​Brigade, and as a photographer, he worked with maps and photographs of the brigade and fulfilled his duties by filming some of her actions on the front. In this service, he was hit by a mine under his jeep. He fell on the 26th of Av 5708 (August 31, 1948). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Rechovot.
