Rosenbaum, Yaakov (Kurt)

Yaakov Ben Rosa and Ernest (Isidore), was born on September 12, 1930 in Germany. In early 1939 he immigrated to Israel with his parents. In Nahariya When the War of Independence broke out, Yaakov was still eighteen years old, but he felt strongly that he could not stand idly by, and even though he was the only child of his parents, he enlisted in the Palmach. He fell on April 23, 1948, and his body was not found, and his burial place was unknown. In 1952, it was discovered that Yaakov was buried in the mass graves of the victims of the battle in the Kiryat Anavim cemetery, like the rest of his comrades who fell in the battles of Nabi Samwil.
