Son of Rachel (Rella) and David, born in Kozmink, near Kalisz, Poland, on the 24th of Tishrei, 1929. When he was seven years old, he immigrated with his family to Eretz Israel in 1935. Until the very last moment, he had defended the withdrawal of his comrades from the outpost by machine gun. Was buried temporarily by the Syrians and transferred on the 16th of Tammuz 5708 (23.7.1948) to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Rosh Pina.
