Ronshtein, Alexander
Alexander, son of Regina and Martin, was born on March 25, 1953 in Munkcova, Russia, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1969. Alexander enlisted in the IDF in early February 1972 and was assigned to the Medical Corps as part of a infantry unit, after completing basic training for a combat operator and a course for combat medics, because of his desire to help always chose the path that suited him. The course was successfully performed as a combat medic in the Golani Brigade, where he spent his entire regular army service In the Yom Kippur War, Alex took part in battles against the Syrians on the Golan Heights, and during the battle that took place on October 16, 1973 Alex was hit and killed. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. Survived by his parents and sister. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant.
