Ronen Lobrowsky

First Sergeant, Ronen Lobrowsky, son of Elena and Vladimir. Ronen was born on April 5, 1998 in Bnei Ayash. A younger brother to Aryeh (Arik). He spent his first year of life in the settlement of Bnei Aish, and later moved to Rehovot, where he studied at the Sprinzak Elementary School in Rehovot where he painted, made sculpture and ceramics and was discovered as a talented artist . From his childhood, he was characterized by the qualities of responsibility, independence, stubbornness and sensitivity to the environment. His presence was very quiet – he did not speak much but projected a lot of calm and security. Matan Yehuda, a childhood friend, recalled an incident from elementary school: In the playground they saw Gaia, a girl Ronan liked. In the game “Truth or Dare,” it was decided that Ronen would kiss her on the cheek. She was taller than he was, so he jumped up to her, kissed her cheek gently and landed on the floor, the two became a couple. His mother said that the motto of the family was “loving mother” (as in present tense English). From seventh to twelfth grade, he studied at the “Aaron Katzir” educational campus in Rehovot, in the communications department, and was very fond of filming short films and documenting school activities, and was determined to succeed in his studies. Ronen played sports since childhood, and his persistence in a variety of sports brought him success and achievements. When he was about three, his father taught him to swim. From age five to eight, he participated in “Osho” martial arts and tennis. He then enrolled in a football club and was given the job of goalkeeper, which he performed with great skill. Despite his low stature he jumped high and jumped at the players’ feet. Later on, the team was accepted to a more mature age than “Maccabi Tel Aviv” in order to be able to deal with players of its level. When he was fifteen he moved on to the next challenge – Krav Maga training. At the age of sixteen he also joined combat training for the army in the framework of the club established by Yoav Asa “Asa me warrior”. Aviv, a training company, wrote: “When Ronan was a coach, he always came out early so we would certainly not be late … Every rehearsal would remind everyone who the king was: he was always the best … he would bomb the results, lead the team to excellence” . In 2016 he took part in the race for climbing stairs in the Azrieli Towers and won first place. The dream of his life was to serve in the “Duvdevan” commando unit that Simla painted and hung in his room when he was sixteen. And wrote himself the motto of Arnold Schwarzenegger later governor of California “You can not climb the ladder of success with hands in your pockets.” His family and friends said that he had achieved high achievements and successes after setting goals for himself, and for their hard work, research, understanding what was required of him and investing time in order to improve and progress. Dvir, a friend from the school, said, “Ronen did not agree to accept ‘no’ as an answer – he knew how to enter all the closed doors, and not only that, he knew how to excel.” Ronen strove for excellence in all his actions, had a deep and mature perception for a person of his age, in every field in which he was interested, opinionated and determined to stand his ground when he felt he was right. His parents describe a neat and organized boy, honest and true, professional and objective, yet considerate and always willing to stop and help – a man and a gentleman. His proverbs And his image, they described everything, are: “I teach all my teachers” and: “Work quietly, let success make the noise.” He wrote a diary in which he documented his world, his passions, his feelings and his aspirations. So he wrote, “I want to say, I can, and continue, to give the best I can, not to knock a hundred percent in one run or sprint and finish myself, but to give over ninety percent so that I can survive through all the acts. And even if it did not go well for some reason in one of the actions, to raise my head and give a boom and say that in the next act I do better than before. ” A quiet, shy boy who used to examine and study and study the environment until the connection to people deepened and gained confidence in them, and then his personality was gradually revealed. However he saw importance in good contact with everyone even if there are large gaps And always tried to find common ground to connect. In his diary he wrote: “To appeal to people even if you think they are strange and try to share them and talk to them.” His closest friends were willing to give without limit. Yasmin, a friend from the school, said he was a kind of “responsible adult,” used to be angry with her when she told about her foolishness, and on the other hand he knew how to support, comfort and give good advice. Nir, a childhood friend, said that when they were in ninth grade he fainted and Ronen took care of him, supported him and escorted him to the door of the house. Amir Hevero wrote about his funny sides: “You can not forget the exact imitations of the driving instructor that you would make us every trip: the short and short ‘Speedo’ swimsuit that only you would wear even though we laughed at you that it was not fashionable. Granada that we ran at Mitzpeh Matan that we loved so much … or we would just tell you to go and start with someone in the bar, and you would blush and laugh your pure, shy laugh. ” “Your motivation, your perseverance, your talent and your caring for those around you – these are things I admire so much about you,” wrote Roni, his schoolmate. ‘You’re so old,’ because we both do not like going to the beach when there are a lot of people, you would do what you think, follow your principles, do not do what everyone else does. ” Ronen wanted to join an elite unit, and when he did not receive a summons for a day of patrols, he struggled to change it. He sent requests and recommendations until he got what he wanted, and went through the formation of paratroopers.
When he enlisted in the IDF for infantry, the connection between him and his brother Arik, who also served in the field units, grew stronger. They talked frequently about experiences about military service. Ronen joined the IDF on November 24, 2016. During the first week of his career, he was drafted into the Duvdevan commando unit. He began an arduous journey that lasted fourteen months and included, among other things, fitness training, shooting and krav maga, trips, professional studies, navigations, exercises and field weeks. In the roll call the first was to do the chores, and without complaining, despite the difficult tasks and the paucity of sleep, he continued to study Arabic, wanted to be the best in the unit’s various exercises and served as a personal example. And in his notebooks the training and the lessons he passed and added notes for conservation and improvement. Shai, a member of the team, said that in basic training he came to replace him on night shift. Both of them were tired and depressed, but Ronen, instead of going to sleep, remained to talk to his friend until the end of his vigil. They comforted and strengthened each other. “A good conversation filled me with energy and a crazy backwind, as only the silence of Lubarsky gives.” The team sergeant said everyone knew that Ronen was always ready to help. He would always answer “pleasantly” for help. For example, when they were required to work in the warehouse on a day of mourning, he did not ask others to help him, but performed the task himself, saying, “It is better for one to be warm than for two.” Ronen was a cook, he liked to make omelets with plenty of vegetables for him and his teammates. Tomer, a member of the team, said that during the breaks when the soldiers were tired and dozed in the tent, Ronen was the first to get up to wash the dishes from lunch. “Modesty, Reut, determination, generosity, excellence,” Tomer described the values he learned from him. Uri, his roommate from the team, said that Ronan was afraid of insects, and when he saw an insect he did not fall asleep until he killed him. He added that they loved the series “Sherlock” and “Dexter” and watched them together at night. Following a tour of Mount Herzl, he wrote: “At the end of the new section, where it was the most difficult, to see the dead we heard about, and I knew it was difficult for me to see birth dates that are close to Arik’s date. And here we understood why we are combat soldiers and the unit of cherry: to prevent as many names as possible added to the wall. ” His acquaintances said that he was characterized by modesty and humility, and that was his modest way! In all his worlds. Roni, his girlfriend from the school, said that even though she was proud of his combat service in “Duvdevan” and the difficulties he faced, he did not like her complimenting him. Elad, his teammate, also said that he always led, stood and stood, but did everything without arrogance.
Ronen was able to describe and appreciate himself, and this was expressed in several of his letters: “Do not feel strange – you are special, you will be happy with what you have. “I am Ronen Lubarsky accepting myself as I am”; “I am Ronen Lubarsky, a man with rights, opinions and ideas that are worth their value to those of them all, I have many virtues and character traits that I like.” At the graduation ceremony he received the warrior’s pin from the commander of the team, and it was a formative event, moving and happy for him. He was later assigned the role of burglar, scanner and questioner in the combat unit of the “Duvdevan” unit, number two on the team. The three months of activity that began at the end of the route were the best in his life. “I met Ronen for the first time in my office … In our first meeting – a basic introductory conversation after completing your training and deployment at the branch – I understood that you had a special character, and I realized that you are a meticulous person who writes and recites every sentence that comes out of me We are all for the rest of us in the ‘black’ division, a symbol of what we call a ‘black warrior’: a value fighter, a thirst for knowledge, a professional, a person of high physical fitness. The commander of the team added: “You were a full partner in providing solutions to the problems we encountered, and I often shared and consulted with you to find additional ways to do the job in the best possible way. Sergeant Ronen Lubarsky fell in operational activity in Ramallah on 26.5.2018. Two days earlier, he had taken part in operational activity to arrest a firing squad in Ramallah. When he came out of one of the buildings with two of his commanders to cover them, a big rock was thrown at him. He was critically wounded and rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. After two days of struggle for his life, the doctors had to determine his death.Ronen was twenty years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by parents and brother. Ronen was promoted to First Sergeant after his fall. His family wrote a sentence from his personal notebook: “How much did you give yourself this week?” The commander of the “Duvdevan” unit wrote: “You were at the forefront of the Israel Defense Forces fighting the endless terror in Judea and Samaria, all of which you did modestly, professionally and confidently, because you know what you are.” Moshe, a member of Ronen’s team, wrote: “A quiet person who does what is best done to him… You were filled with sorrow for every negative thing that happened on the team and you always thought about how to correct it and to honor those who needed it. To bring original ideas on how to become the ideal and best team in the unit … how you jealously guarded your principles, you did not let anyone take you away from them, and you could not stand someone who was trying to cut corners with things that mattered to you or to the team … And think how I achieve your mental ability expressed in so many areas and your mental strength even when things are to Good happened. ” Daniel wrote: “Only you, my brother, ‘why do I do it’ was so strong, and more than once you said that from your point of view every terrorist you arrest is an entire family that you saved from a terrorist attack … You were the best fighter on the team and the friend The best team, and you are with your own hands saving many families from terror attacks. ” “I can only thank you for everything, dear friend,” wrote his friend Amir. “You will always remain with me in my heart.” Yuval, a friend from the school, wrote: “Funny, modest, witty, a perfectionist, calm, pleasant, and simply ego-free … I had the privilege of being someone you knew, a privilege that was part of my weekends.” Jasmine, a good friend of mine, wrote: “When we were near a lot of people, we used to be silent and he whispered to me in secret about things that remained between us and we would laugh alone at everyone, only me and him … my little brother, I love you so much. And to meet in the middle of the day in surprise, you were modest and sensitive and full of giving … Keep looking from the side and keep, as always, promising to raise half of Maccabi for you, just as you like. In Rehovot, his city, a few days after his fall, a combat fitness training was held in his memory in the group where he trained, “Assa me warrior.” The “2018 maze” of the Israeli Academy of Krav Maga, which took place about a month after its fall, was also dedicated to his memory. In August 2018, in the village of Psagot, a warm home was opened for soldiers named after him – “Ronen’s House”.
