After graduating, he began studying at the Hebrew Gymnasium in Jerusalem, where he graduated from high school. From an early age he was interested in Arab life and had a special affection for the Bedouin. He tended to sports and loved literature. He was drafted into the IDF in July 1965. He served in the IDF Southern Command, and the Six-Day War broke out in the Jebel Livni area of ​​Sinai on the fourth day of the fighting, which took place on June 8, 1967. He was buried in the cemetery Military emergency in Bari and was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
