Roitman, Susannah (Susie)

Daughter of Rita and Yosef, a sister to Ilana. She was born on 21.1.1979 in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Susannah was a beautiful, frail girl who often had to contend with illnesses that had afflicted her. At the age of one year she began to go to kindergarten and even then discovered her wonderful talent for painting. Her attraction to the art world grew stronger in the years to come, when she was in elementary school. She took part in a painting department and learned new techniques. She also became interested in swimming and enrolled in a swimming pool. In the spring of 1991, when she was twelve years old, Susannah immigrated with her family to Israel. At first the family lived in Jaffa, where she continued her studies. Two years later they moved to Ashkelon and Susanna chose to study art at the Ort Afridar Ronson High School in the city. These were the most prominent and significant years of her life: she had begun to grow up-a girl, a girl, and her personality, as well as her body, had begun to be sad. She was very beloved and acquired many companies who sought her closeness. Susannah stood out for her absolute giving. She was a devoted and loyal friend who was a sympathetic ear and a supportive shoulder, always willing to help and help, glad to share what she had with others without thinking twice. Susannah became a beautiful girl with green eyes and fair hair. It rose to a height of 172 cm and kept a thin figure. Thanks to her natural resources, she participated at the age of sixteen in the Ashkelon beauty queen competition. During high school, Susannah continued to develop her artistic talent and took part in a painting class that was given by artists. There was no doubt that after the army she would have a brilliant career in art. At the end of December 1997, she enlisted in the IDF, and after completing her basic training, she chose to serve in a special unit that assists the civilian police, and on the 9th of Av 5758 (11.8.1998) Susannah fell during her service at the age of 19. She was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon. Survived by parents and sister.
