Roider, Ita

Ita, a daughter of Tova and Naftali, was born on January 31, 1953, in Kfar Hess. She completed her elementary studies at the Hadar Hasharon School in Tel Mond and later went on to study at the Iron High School in Hadera. Ita was a tall, handsome girl with bright, piercing eyes, an outstanding student who loved her studies and every job she was assigned was full of precision and seriousness. Her face and eyes filled with light as she smiled. She was the only child of her parents and was deeply attached to them, loved the farm work and helped as much as she could. After successfully completing her high school studies, life opened before her. She was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1971, and after completing her basic training she was sent to a course for female victims and advanced courses, and she passed them all with very high grades, fulfilling her duties in the unit much better than she was required to do, because she believed that a person must fulfill his duties And it was often clear to her commanders that Ata would give up social and personal activities or rest time to help the unit with its special tasks, and would spend many days working hours to help with the work and would always say happily: “I have Satisfaction from work. Now I am going home to help the parents in the agriculture. “She rose to the ranks and when the time came for her release from the army, she agreed to continue her service under permanent conditions. She took upon herself the command of a new facility willingly and enthusiastically, spared no effort to withstand the weight of the mission, and served as an exemplary example for her officers in the unit with her warmth, her loyalty, and her habit of demanding more of herself than of others. Her words were measured and measured and were always said with kindness and good humor. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, she was taken to the hospital. She knew no rest, and to her visitors she said she felt uneasy and felt a need to return to her job, and that she refused to accept her sudden confinement to the bed. On October 26, 1973, Ita died of a malignant disease and was put to rest in the cemetery in Kfar Hess, leaving her parents after her death, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. She was a professional soldier and was very knowledgeable and fulfilled her duty with great devotion. “Please accept my condolences and condolences to all the soldiers of the unit. Her friend wrote in her memory: “What can you write in memory of a girl? What can you tell about the unknowns, which stopped before they began?” About laughter that has ended in the midst of happiness, warmth and grace that no longer exist. , Looking for the upright, tall, expectant floor, waiting for the question that you need help? ” Things in her memory were published in the newspaper “Moshav Talmim”.
