The son of Haya and Shimon was born on February 17, 1929 in Jerusalem, and after completing elementary school, he began to study fine mechanics, and at the age of 16 he joined the Palmach and joined the Aloni and Tal Yosef training. At the beginning of the War of Independence, he did not agree to enjoy the right to be an only child by claiming that now all are members of the entire nation. He did not listen to his commander’s entreaties and went out to battle, eager to act with enthusiasm and devotion. During the Palmach regiment he took part in battles against the Kaukji forces and later fought in the “Al-Furtzim” brigade of the Harel Brigade on the way to Jerusalem, and on the night of June 8-9, 1948, In the course of the battle, the battalion advanced on the 14th Battalion, instead of the 13th, as planned, and the fighters attacked the outpost and succeeded in capturing part of it. This battle took place on Monday, June 9, 1948. On November 17, 1948, he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
