Roemi, Morris


Son of Yitzchak and Clara. He was born in Morocco in 1948. After his family immigrated to Israel in 1962, he studied at the Ramat Hadassah Institute. In May 1966, he enlisted in the IDF. He fell in the line of duty on the 3rd of Cheshvan, October 25, 1968. The commander of his unit wrote in a letter of condolences to the family, that Morris was wounded while serving as an officer in the IDF. For 30 days he fought for his life, but despite the efforts of the doctors, they were unable to save him. He served in the unit as a driver, a position he faithfully fulfilled. In his service, he was a dedicated and disciplined soldier, fulfilling the duties of his superiors.
