Roby, Aryeh (Arik)

Son of Moshe and Rachel. He was born on the 1st of Iyar, May 10, 1948, in Ein Harod Meuhad. He studied at the elementary and high school in his city. In addition to his athletic leanings, he loved Greek music. He was drafted into the IDF in July 1966, and was assigned to the Armored Corps. He was interested in gaining knowledge in many different areas, and liked to help his friends with the subjects he was familiar with. Aryeh fell while still in compulsory service, on 5th of Tishrei, September 26, 1968. He was brought to eternal rest in his kibbutz. A football team, to which he belonged, was named after him.
