Riven (Tillinger), Haim (Lulu)


The only son of Chaya (Elsa) and Sigmund-Moshe was born on 14.6.1927 in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Until the age of 13 he attended elementary school and high school in his hometown, and in April 1940 he immigrated to Israel as part of the Youth Aliya. For one year he worked as a trainee at the “HaMagfer” and studied the machinery. He then joined Kibbutz Beit Ha’arava on the Dead Sea and was a member of it for a year and a half. In November 1944, his parents came to Israel and to help them he was given a vacation from the kibbutz. Haim worked at the “Kirstein-Greenspan” factory in Haifa Bay and later at the Haifa Engineering Works. Was a devoted and loving son of his parents and spent most of his time at home reading books. As a member of the Palmach, he enlisted with the first volunteers in January 1948 to the Carmeli Brigade, where he specialized in sabotage and served as a terrorist, and took part in operations near Ramat Yochanan and near Akko, Chaim fell on duty when he carried out a sabotage operation in the Galilee police, on 16 Nissan 5708 25.4.1948) he was buried on Kibbutz Eilon, and on the 20th of June 1950 he was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Nahariya.
