Ritter, Haim-Moshe

Ritter, Haim-Moshe

The only son of David and Blanka. He was born on February 18, 1951, in the city of Craiova, Romania. In 1959 he immigrated to Israel with his family, who settled in Hadera. Despite the difficulties of adapting to a new country, a school and new friends, Haim quickly acclimated and became a “sabra” for almost everything. Although he was not religious, he respected his father’s will and completed the religious state school Tachkemoni. Afterward he continued his studies at Iron High School, also in Hadera, and was one of the best students. He did not stand out at first, but it was not many months before life began to pave the way for success. He excelled in work and established himself a special place in society and slowly became a central figure among the students. He excelled in all kinds of sports; He was an outstanding scorer but most of all loved football. As a member of the youth team of Hapoel Hadera and as the “scorer”, he contributed his personal contribution to his team’s win in the crown of the championship. Thanks to his great distinction, he was also a member of the group. His house is full of dozens of trophies and certificates, awarded to him for his victories in various sports competitions. Nevertheless, he always knew his duty to his parents and made sure to help them with their work. Haim planned to work as a physical education teacher at Wingate after his release, but did not win … He joined the IDF in mid-November 1970 and was assigned to the Nahal Brigade. He did not speak very much about the period of his service and about what he had been through, but his many friends said that he was admired and accepted by them and the commanders. On the 15th of Elul 5732 (August 15, 1972), he died during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the Hadera military cemetery.
