He then held a series of different positions. He was a platoon commander and an operations officer, and after completing an air inspectors course he was appointed company commander. After completing three years of compulsory service he joined the regular army. He saw in his role a mission and mission and spent nights and days in an effort that his soldiers and subordinates would do their job with maximum efficiency. He took upon himself and carried out difficult tasks, both in training and in operations and raids across the border. When he came to the kibbutz on vacation, he used to ride his horses back, through the mountains, to the Kursi estuary and then toward the Neot HaGolan. He bought him many friends and acquaintances because he was pleasant talking and loving company. On 9.9.1973, he fell during training and was put to rest in the cemetery at Kibbutz Ein Gev.
