Reuveni, Alon (“Pini”)


Son of Meir and Livneh. He was born on October 3, 1958 in Tel Aviv. He attended the Yarkon Elementary School and the Ahad Ha’am Elementary School in Tel Aviv. After completing his studies at the school, Alon began working on wallpaper. A year later he was accepted to work at the Bank Leumi le-Israel branch and was very successful in his job. In 1975 Alon went on a trip abroad. He spent six months in England and the United States. He made trips and trips and met with relatives. When he returned from abroad, he continued to work as a wallpaper sticker and began to prepare for his induction into the IDF, where he volunteered for a pre-military driving course and successfully completed. After basic training he was sent to an engineering base as a heavy freight driver. After a while he was chosen by the base commander as his personal driver and he succeeded very well in his position. The commander of the base says: “Despite the brief acquaintance with Alon, I stood from the first moment I met him about his nature and his qualities, as we discovered later on during long trips together during the day and night. Our personal conversations in which he raised personal issues connected with past concerns and future plans and plans for the days following his military service. ” On the 7th of Kislev 5738 (7.12.1977) Alon fell while fulfilling his duties in the south of the country. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. His family donated a Holy Ark and a crystal lamp to the synagogue in the Livneh neighborhood of Tel Aviv.
