Ben Orna and Eliyahu. He was born on Wednesday, March 4, 1970 in Ashdod. He began his studies at the Shilo elementary school in Ashdod and when the family moved to Holon, he went to the Neot Shoshanim elementary school. After completing his studies, he graduated from the ORT high school in Holon. Yoav was a sports fan. When he was 16 years old, he was orphaned from his mother and was drafted into the IDF in late July 1988. He was initially assigned to the Givati ​​Brigade as a combat soldier. Six months later he was transferred to the IAF as an administrative employee. In the estimation of his commander, he was a quiet and disciplined soldier and carried out his impeccable role. On the 22nd of Elul 5749 (September 22, 1989) Yoav fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by a father, three sisters – Ilana, Esther and Sarit and two brothers – Shlomo and Avner.
