Reuven, Yehezkel


Yehezkel, son of Naji and Simcha Reuven, was born on the 29th of Tevet 5706 (2.1.1946) in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1950. He was drafted into the IDF in 1963, and during the Six Day War he was called up on reserve duty. On the way to Kantara he was hit by a direct hit, on 1 Sivan (9.6.1967). He left a pregnant wife. He was buried in the military emergency cemetery in Be’ari and later transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
