Reuven, Chaim

Son of Sarah and Hershko, was born in February 1928 in Romania. He learned in an elementary school, and afterwards he worked as a tailor. He arrived in Palestine in 1947, joined Kibbutz Na’an and began to do agricultural work in the farm. During the War of Independence he enlisted in one of the Palmach battalions and participated In various battles. On the 7th of Tishrai, October 10, 1948, he perished in the vicinity Lod Airport (today the Machane Israel). He was laid to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak military cemetery.
