He graduated from the “Bialik” high school and in the “Sharett” High School in Netanya, where he completed his high school diploma and achieved a matriculation certificate and an impressive achievement in the psychometric test. At the end of his regular service he was assigned to reserve duty as a liaison officer in the Artillery Corps. At the end of March 2002, Eddie was drafted into reserve duty and sent to operational employment in the Mitzpe Shalem area, in the northern Dead Sea. On April 12, 2002, Eddie fell in the line of duty at the age of thirty-four and was promoted to the rank of Major-General. Eddie was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Netanya. Survived by his parents, two brothers and nephews.
