Son of Esther-Malka (May) and Nachum-Ira (Leon). Born in Melbourne, Australia, on March 28, 1920, he studied and was a member of the Scout movement, and in 1936 immigrated to Eretz Israel and settled in Ramat Gan, where he joined the Maccabee movement and studied for a year at the College in Terra Santa in Jerusalem. He worked for a lawyer in Tel Aviv and then was sent by his parents to study law in London, but his studies did not satisfy him and he wanted to learn to be a pilot to return home and teach the Israeli youth to fly. He was accepted into the Royal Academy of the Air Force, and during World War II he fought as a fighter pilot in a battle for Britain and was later mobilized to North Africa in 1941. On 2 Tevet, December 10, 1942, he took off with another 11 planes to attack the enemy on the El Alamein front, but in a battle, his plane fell into the sea and disappeared. His body was not found. He left parents and two sisters.
