Son of Aliza and Dan. The dog’s training in the Department of Defense and Rescue Dogs brought both of them, Lior and his dog, certificates and trophies for their achievements. He was very devoted to parrots and fish. The love of landscape, growth and flowering led him to devote a great deal of time to cultivating a Yaffa garden. Lior was always interested in what is happening in society, in relating people to others and in human behavior in daily life. He was angry when he read about or encountered negative phenomena and was satisfied with positive things, which improved his quality of life. Lior devoted his thesis to the subject: ‘The Yaffa Face and Ugly Face of the State of Israel 1986’. Among other things, he notes: “The most Yaffa things in Israeli society are volunteering for youth to help the weak, activities in the Civil Guard, and fundraising operations … There is no other country that sacrifices so much to save one, not only in Israel but at every point on the globe. “He said. Lior was drafted into the IDF in February 1987. He asked to join the anti-aircraft forces and served in the Hawk missile unit. The unit commander assessed him as a good soldier with a good grasp and a high level. Lior fell during his service on the 13th of Tevet 5748 (3.1.1988). He was nineteen when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion. He left behind his parents, a brother – Ronen, and a sister – Liat. The unit commander testified to him: “Lior acquired knowledge by profession, was among the best students, showed a high level of professionalism, fit well with his friends and had a promising future.” In the meetings organized for him, his friends told him about the qualities that characterized Lior – His outstanding performance and his serious, mature and responsible attitude to all his duties.
