Reganbogen, Arie (“Adolka”)

Son of Salomon and Sarah. He was born on the 17th of March 1947 in the town of Sabni in Romania. After graduating from high school, he moved to high school and excelled in mathematics, chemistry and physics. He wanted to continue his university studies in one of his favorite subjects. But a month before graduating from high school in 1965, he immigrated to Israel with his family. When the family arrived in Israel, she settled in Kiryat Gat and Aryeh went to Kibbutz Gvaram, where he studied in the ulpan for about five months. Arie loved sports (basketball and volleyball) and liked to paint. Knowing that financially and even because of the difficulties of the new language he would not be able to continue his studies, chose to enlist in the IDF and in May 1966 he volunteered for the paratroopers. His mother once told him to try and treat his novices as much as he could in a more Yaffa way, and he answered: “The sweat in the camp is better than blood in the front.” Aryeh saw his future in the army because all his pride and love were in the army. When the Six-Day War broke out, a lot was lost in the camp and Aryeh lost it – that is, he had to stay in the camp with the recruits. When he heard this, he said that in such a situation he could not sit with his hands folded while others fell on the front. So he asked his commander to join those going to the front. In the end, he was given his request and he joined them. On the fourth day of the fighting, he was killed on the 8th of Iyar 5727 (8.6.1967). Was brought to rest at the military emergency cemetery in Bari and transferred to eternal rest in the Kiryat Gat cemetery.
