Reevenbach, Chaim


Son of Malka and Tuvia. He was born in Poland in 1924. His parents immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1924 and settled in Tel Aviv, where he studied at the Bilu elementary school. He joined the Betar youth movement at an early age and joined the British Resistance underground, where he stood out among the activists, and his family also took part in the activity. On the 17th of Sivan 5706 (17.6.1946) he went with his friends to a sabotage operation in the workshop in Haifa Bay, during which he was killed along with other fighters in an encounter with the British army. He was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery. He left a wife and son, parents, three brothers and a sister. Half a year after his fall, his younger brother Menahem fell. His name was immortalized in the books “Acre Fortress” and “Unknown Soldiers.”
