Raz (Berezovsky), Avraham (“Rami”)

Avraham, son of Shaul-Nahum and Neska Raz, was born on the 1st of December 1944 in Jerusalem to a large family. In 1962 he was drafted into the IDF and volunteered to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade. In one of his parachute jumps, he was injured and needed surgery and because of that he could not continue with that force. He was transferred to the Southern Command. When he was drafted into the reserves, he did all he could to increase his physical fitness because he wanted to participate in combat activities. Avraham fell on 28 Iyar, 7.6.1967 and was buried in the military cemetery on Har Herzl. He was survived by his wife.
