Rawimi, Avichai

Avichai, son of Phoebe and Moshe Rawimi, was born in Akko in 1992. Avichai joined the IDF on October 31, 2011. He served in the General Staff at an artillery base near Safed. Avichai was diagnosed with cancer, immediately began radiotherapy, but died within two months of diagnosis, on 14 Kislev, November 27, 2012. Avichai was twenty years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya. Survived by his parents, a sister and brother. On the gravestone of Avichai, the family wrote: “A son and a heroic brother.”
