Raviv, Zvi (“Zvika”)
Son of Yehuda and Tamar. He was born on July 29, 1947 in Ramat Gan. In the city where he was born, he studied at the “Atid” elementary school. When he was in fourth grade, he entered the Scouts movement and was one of the most active and active figures in his activity. By the time he reached eighth grade, he began to train in younger strata. After graduating from elementary school, he attended the Blich High School. In high school there was more than a student for all the teachers and all those who knew him; He was a very nice and beloved man to all his acquaintances. He was always active, the first to do. He would not wait for orders and volunteers, because he always preceded the “done” to “heard.” Zvi was the living spirit among his friends, always Simcha and always smiled, because his attitude to life was a relationship of love and pleasure. By the time he reached the last grade in high school, he had served as the Scouts instructor – but then he left the movement. Even after graduating from high school, he would visit him, and in his conversations with the school’s teachers and his principal, some of his characteristic qualities would be prominent: his kindness, enthusiasm, initiative and activity. His great love was for the books he read-provided they were interesting. In this way, he acquired wide knowledge in all the territories that amazed his audience. Another hobby he had was his occupation in a chemical laboratory. His love for chemistry was expressed in his post-school work in the form of reading material and conducting experiments in a small laboratory he had acquired for himself and developed with canvas. Because of his inclination to chemistry he studied chemical engineering at the Hebrew Technion in Haifa as part of the academic reserve. But on the eve of the Six-Day War, he completed his studies in order to enlist in the IDF, completed an officer’s course with honors and was awarded the honor of the commander of the Air Force, and was a courageous, cheerful young man. On April 8, 1969, he fell in the area of Kantara. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. The commander of his unit, in a letter of condolence to his family, wrote: “His radiant personality combined the qualities of a courageous and quick-decision commander, a man of great spirit, kindness and kindness. Did not complain about the situation and the difficult conditions. On the contrary, he always tried to encourage others to help. ” The company commander, among other things, wrote to the family, “Zvi was one of the mainstays of the company, and we came to the company almost at that time and worked together to give it shape and stand before the enemy. The effort invested in it bore fruit. This is not a consolation for a bereaved family, but for a nation like this, Israel’s eternity is guaranteed. “After that, Tzvi was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, and his memory was immortalized in setting up a musical corner in Beit Emmanuel, Ramat Gan. – The book in the name of the Blich in which he studied, and several pages were devoted to him in the booklet “In Memory” issued by his battalion
