Raviv, Shimon


Son of Nathan was born on the 11th of Adar 5707 (11.3.1956) in Canada and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1960. Shimon began his studies at the David Shimoni Elementary School in Givatayim and completed his studies at the Ironi High School in Tel Aviv Spring. Was a good student and was appreciated by his teachers and friends. Shimon gathered around him a wide circle of friends and friends. He was active in the student council of his school and a member of the national council of Youth for Youth. In the summer of 1973 he was sent on behalf of this organization on a national delegation to the United States and during the visit he acquired many other friends who continued to maintain close ties, and Shimon was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces In August 1974 and assigned to the Engineering Corps. In basic training he continued to show leadership and help to his friends. He was found suitable for promotion, and was sent to the course of the squad commanders he successfully completed. Shimon began a more advanced course, which he did not finish due to his death. A month after his 19th birthday. On 3 April 1975, Corporal Shimon died during his service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
