Ratsabi (Razabi), Azriel
Azriel, son of Esther and Levi Rabsabi, was born on September 8, 1930 in Jerusalem. From his youth, he aspired to a pioneering life of fulfillment, and immediately after graduating from elementary school, he went to Nahalal for training, where he studied for three years and became a farmer. He joined the Givot Zaid group, but could not stay there for long, because of the distress of his parents he had to come to their aid. He moved to Moshav Kfar Malal, worked as an agricultural laborer and earned a livelihood and support for the family, was a member of the Haganah from his early adulthood, was constantly on active duty, reached the rank of squad commander and even more. The first to enlist and served in the Alexandroni Brigade, participated in several battles and fought fiercely and wisely, and with the entry of the Arab Legion into the fighting, the situation in Jerusalem deteriorated and the road to it was cut off by the legion of Latrun. He was forced to withdraw from Latrun, but encountered better enemy forces and was forced to retreat. Azriel died on 17 Iyar, 26.5.1948. On September 17, 1949, he was brought to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
